About Chowk Jam
Chowk Jam is a one-tap traffic puzzle. A chowk is a crossroads; this one is jammed with rickshaws, scooters, cars and vans. Tap a vehicle and it drives out of the junction — if every cell between its nose and the edge of the board is clear. It runs in a browser tab, free, with no account and nothing to install.
The idea
Most traffic puzzles are manoeuvring puzzles: you slide blocks a cell at a time until one can escape. Chowk Jam is a reading puzzle. Nothing slides. A vehicle is either still in the junction or gone, and the only question in front of you is which lane is genuinely clear right now. That makes it playable with one thumb in a few seconds, and it makes a wrong answer feel like a misread rather than a mis-execution.
The full rules and the order worth clearing a junction in are on How to play.
Why you can never get stuck
Removing a vehicle frees cells and can never occupy one. So a move cannot turn a solvable board into an unsolvable one — and every board is generated solvable in the first place. It follows that every position you can reach is also solvable. There is no dead end anywhere in the game.
That property is load-bearing rather than decorative. It is why the hint button does not need to search possible futures — any vehicle with a clear lane will do — and it is why running out of hearts simply restarts the level rather than trapping you.
The levels
Sixty levels in four packs: Gully Lane (1–15), Market Chowk (16–30), Highway Merge (31–45) and Festival Rush (46–60). Difficulty ramps on three axes — how densely the grid is packed, how many two-cell vehicles are in it, and how many immovable concrete dividers sit on the board, rising from none at the start to four in the last pack.
Every level is a fixed seed rather than a random fill, so level 37 is the same junction for every player, forever. Every grid is deliberately taller than it is wide, in roughly the proportion of a phone screen, because a board should fill the hand it is played in.
How the money works
Levels 1 to 10 are free, with unlimited retries and no advertising. One optional payment unlocks all 60 levels plus unlimited hints and undo. It is charged once. There is no subscription and nothing is ever billed again.
Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record. Buyers in India are quoted in rupees. Your local sales tax may be added at checkout where it applies, so the final total can read slightly higher than the price on the offer card. Refunds run 14 days — see Refunds.
How it is built
One HTML page, a canvas, and hand-written JavaScript. No game engine, no image files, no fonts to download, no build step. Every vehicle, road marking and sound is drawn or synthesised in the browser as you play, which is why it starts quickly on a cheap phone and a slow connection.
What we do not claim
Chowk Jam is new. It has no reviews, no star rating and no player count, and you will not find one invented anywhere on this site. The numbers published here — sixty levels, ten free, the pack boundaries and the grid sizes on How to play — are read straight out of the game's own level definitions.
The other two games
Same makers, same rules about honesty, same one-time-unlock model.
